This month there are a shower of new updates and improvements released by Concur, read on to find out more about Request module availability in the mobile app, running your account extracts on demand and more.
The most exciting development released this month is that Request is now available on the mobile app. Something that many, many Concur customers have been keen on. One of the small issues with Concur has always been the features missing from the mobile app, and this is heading towards more and more functionalities available in the mobile app. The scope of mobile Request is still somewhat limited at the moment, but the core process is working now – it will not currently handle allocations, or any custom fields that you use within Request, and a few other points. With further development of Request, and hopefully other features on the app however, Concur really will live up to its flexible and mobile processing monikers.
If you have the professional expense module, you can now run your accounting extracts on demand. If you have the import/extract monitor authorisation, in the import and export monitor screens there is now a ‘run now’ column – Concur support need to enable the column for you if you want to use this option. You can simply chose the run now link and it will run the accounting extract for you then and there. So if you need to rush through the payment of a certain expense claim, you can chose the run the account extract as soon as you need it to get the expense data into your payment system.

And finally; there are a number of new fields available in Cognos to enhance your reporting. There are a wealth of great standard reports available in Concur reporting, but there generally comes a point where you will want to enhance a standard report with more information or to build a company specific report. In the last couple of months, various expense fields have been added to the reporting data model including start and end date of expense reports; additional fields for attendee name data (you may need these fields added to the attendee form for the expense entry to capture the date first!) and a lot of fields to the codes of various pieces of data like expense report types, country codes and codes for employee information. Cognos reporting is a very powerful tool, which can be a little complex at times, but once you find your way around the Report and Query designer tools with these new data fields and more, you can build any report you need!
